In an effort to keep our readers, up to date with the latest number of cases confirmed in N.C., Fetch Your News will continually be updating this article with the most recent updates from the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS).

NC Statistics

As of January 21, 2020, NCDHHS reported 698,099 cases statewide, 579,573 presumed recovered, 8,339 deaths, and 3,666 hospitalized. The highest concentration is now in Mecklenburg with 79,436 cases and 700 deaths. Hyde County had the highest 14-day case increase per 100,000 residents. NCDHHS reported 8,240,694 tests have been completed in the state. The confirmed cases report is released each day at 12 a.m.
