Offense Shines In Knights Win Over Cherokee

TeamFYNSports

Robbinsville will advance to the next round of the playoffs after a huge offensive showing against the Cherokee Braves on Thursday night. Their offense did not miss a beat as they took this one 39-12. It was a quick start for the Black Knights as they were able to start the game on a 20-0 run. Once again Cuttler Adams made himself known throughout the game and led the way for the Knights offense, but the bigger story here is just how good Bryce Adams has been at quarterback for the Silver and Black the previous two games. Through the first two playoff games, Bryce is 15/16 for 254 yards and 3 TD’s.

Game Notes

Sophomore QB Bryce Adams finished the game 8/9 for 131 yards and two TDs as well as 54 yards on the ground. Senior Brock Adams was his favorite target as Bryce’s older brother brought in six catches and finished with 107 yards and two TD receptions. However, it was the ground game that did most of the damage for Robbinsville in this one as Cuttler Adams led the way with 181 yards on 17 carries and finished with three TDs. Junior Kage Williams was also able to find the endzone in this one as he finished with 20 yards on 13 carries. Their defense got the job done as well as they held the Braves to just 12 points and under 200 yards of total offense.

The Braves season comes to a disappointing end as they were just overwhelmed on both sides of the ball in this one. QB Kaden “Tso” Smith finished 4/7 for just 25 yards and an interception. He added 39 yards on 14 carries and was able to get a rushing touchdown to open the scoring for Cherokee. Brandon Santiago led the Braves ground game with 75 yards on 13 carries while Xavier Otter was responsible for the other Cherokee TD in the 4th quarter.

Look Ahead

Robbinsville will now take on the 1-seeded Eastern Randolph Wildcats who are coming off a big 16-point victory their last time out.
