Ken Solesbee Athletic Center- Last night was the first night of the Smoky Mountain Conference Semi-finals matchups, which saw Andrews vs Hayesville JV Boys tip things off for the night.

Andrews continued their hot streak on the year, defeating Hayesville by a score of 47-14. The Cats will now play the winner of tonight’s Robbinsville-Murphy matchup in the JV Championship game on Thursday night.

The Cherokee Lady Braves and the Swain County Lady Devils were the next two teams to take the floor, and the Lady Braves set the pace early on. They defeated Swain 72-46, and will play the winner of tonight’s Murphy-Robbinsville matchup in the Championship game on Friday night.

The night-cap saw Robbinsville and Hayesville Varsity boys take the floor, and it was a back and forth game til the final horn. Hayesville’s sharp shooting kept them in it, but Xander Wachacha’s 20 point performance allowed Robbinsville to take home a 47-41 victory, and secured them a spot in the Championship on Friday. Robbinsville will play the winner of tonight’s Murphy-Swain matchup in the Championship.
