Williams Stays Hot at the Plate as Robbinsville Crushes Mitchell

Lexie Williams was on fire Tuesday, going 3-for-3 at the plate and helping lead the Robbinsville Varsity Black Knights to a dominating 15-0 win over Mitchell.

The Black Knights came out swinging, putting up a massive 14 runs in the first inning alone. It was a total team effort—Sophie “Lou” Roberts got things rolling with an RBI single, then a series of hits and a couple of Mitchell errors just kept the momentum going. Lexie smashed a two-run double, Sydney Adams knocked in two more with another double, and Anna Williams, Kynadee “KJ” Spencer, and Naomi “Watiyeli” Taylor all chipped in with RBI singles. Lexie and Anna added even more hits before the inning wrapped.

By the third inning, Robbinsville tacked on one more run when Loxley Burke ripped a single to center, bringing the score to 15-0.

On the mound, Naomi Taylor started the game strong, tossing two shutout innings with four strikeouts and no walks. Presley Caylor came in to close it out, throwing a clean inning with two Ks. Meanwhile, Mitchell’s pitcher, Nutter, had a tough outing, giving up 17 hits and 15 runs in just two innings.

Robbinsville’s offense was red-hot all game, racking up 17 total hits. Lexie and Anna Williams each drove in three runs, and multiple players—including KJ Spencer, Daphne Barlow, Presley Caylor, Sophie Roberts, and Naomi Taylor—had multi-hit games. The Knights also showed hustle on the bases, swiping four bags, and were sharp on defense, playing an error-free game. Sophie Roberts led the way with four defensive plays.

For Mitchell, Ayers managed the team’s only hit in two trips to the plate.

Robbinsville will be back on the diamond on Friday vs South Stokes.
