Congratulations to the second of our 2023 TeamFYNSports scholarship recipients, Robbinsville’s Kensley Phillips.
Kensley was a multi-sport athlete at Robbinsville High School for four years where she graduated with not only her high school diploma but also an associate’s degree from Tri-County Community College.
In her senior season, Kensley was a team captain in Volleyball, Basketball, and Track. She holds multiple school records for her performance on the track and was a multi-time All-Conference player on the volleyball and basketball court as well as Player of The Year in Volleyball.
Phillips plans to attend East Carolina University where she will enroll in the Fellowship Teach Program and pursue a degree in Elementary Education. Both of her sisters are current teachers at Robbinsville Elementary and her sister Kadey is the Head Coach of the Robbinsville Volleyball team, which Kensley says has inspired her to become a teacher and coach.
As involved as Kensley has been with Robbinsville High School over the previous 4 years, she has left her mark everywhere she has been.
Congratulations Kensley and good luck at ECU!
