The Robbinsville Black Knights picked up their fifth win of the season against conference foe Swain County on Monday evening.
Quinn Jumper led the way for the Knights at the plate with three hits in four at-bats.
Heading into the final frame, Robbinsville and Swain County were in a 8-8 deadlock as Bryc Garrison came up to the plate. Garrison and Tytan Teesateskie reached base safely in the inning before Quinn Jumper came up to bat with 2 outs. Jumper then roped a triple to center that drove in both Garrison and Teesateskie for the Knights 9th and 10th runs of the evening.
Ethan Orr earned the win on the mound for Robbinsville, allowing two hits and zero runs over two innings while striking out two Swain County batters and walking one. Graylen Orr started the game for the Knights, allowing 9 hits and 8 runs (5 earned) over five innings.
Brayden Ruias surrendered seven hits and eight runs over five innings on the bump for the Devils. Carter Hayes, Noah Shuler, and Lawson Woodard had multiple hits for Swain.
Robbinsville will face Andrews on Tuesday in Valley Town.
